Daniela Berowsky:

At the end of 2017 we said goodbye to Mrs Daniela Berowsky, who has been teaching at Milnerton High since July 1985.

She has been a pillar of strength and a stalwart in the staffroom for nearly 33 years.

During her tenure she taught Senior Mathematics and Physical Science, was the Head of Department and Subject Head for Physical Science, and the Deputy Head for the last 10 years. As part of this portfolio she also held the crucial post of Head of Academics, directing and managing the policies and challenges with aplomb.

Mrs Berowsky is married to Chris and has 4 children (all old boys and girls of MHS), 3 of which are very successfully plying their trades overseas in Australia, the UK and the USA. During her retirement she intends to travel and visit her children, but we are also hoping to coax her back to do some teaching and mentoring, even if it’s on a part-time basis.

Mrs Berowsky has also achieved superb matric results, and many very successful men and women have passed through her hands and gained entry in university, making their mark in the world of work in many high-powered top notch careers. This is testimony to being a superb teacher.

Mrs Berowsky’s calm, intelligent and analytical mind will be missed on the Senior Management Team. Her problem solving ability and skill, and her willingness to get involved in all the aspects of leading the school will be very hard to replace.

May we take this opportunity to wish her a wonderful and long retirement, with lots of quality family time for many years to come.
